We specialise in divorce proceedings and the full range of family law subjects, including allegations which relate to domestic violence and disputes which relate to contact with children and where they should live (child arrangement orders) and financial disputes following separation or divorce. The Firm holds the Legal Services Commission’s Specialist Domestic Violence and Public Law (Children) Contract. We act for children as well as parents, but no matter whom we are representing we will deal with the matter in a calm, reassuring and non-contentious manner. The welfare of the children often demands skilful negotiation with a view to achieving a sensible, child-centred compromise. Where this approach fails to achieve a reasonable result, however, we have no difficulties whatsoever in advocating in a forthright and direct manner.
We are able to help you negotiate the best settlement for your particular circumstances, whether it be through mediation, negotiation, or court litigation.
All of our specialist family law schemes are competitively priced and flexible. We will ascertain your exact requirements in the context of a fixed fee interview. Our fixed fee divorce scheme will be ideal if you and your spouse are agreed in principle that the marriage has irretrievably broken down. We also have a number of fixed fees for discrete pieces of pre-court work or where specific terms have been agreed (see BLM laps). We also have two schemes which allow you to decide which part of the process you require specialist advice on and make savings in that way. Our unique fixed fee injunction scheme is a market leader and competitively priced. Our BLM Reflect Legal Scheme allows you to receive specialist advice in relation to certain paperwork/correspondence recieved during the litigation process or to receive representation at a certain hearing. You control costs by choosing what aspect of the legal process you require our assistance with. Unfortunately we cannot go on the record for fixed fee injunction and BLM Reflect Legal services.
If you would prefer a full retainer where we do go on the record, we will sign you up under our bespoke service. We are happy to agree personalised terms with you.
